As an avid fan of Jurassic Park, I cannot say I am completely impressed with the overall feel of the Commentary by Scholar Tracks. The audio quality was poor and actual references to the film as it would appear on-screen were few and far between and it was clear that neither person in the commentary was well versed in paleontology and had not watched this movie in quite some time evidenced by several inaccuracies.
Being more of a scientific discussion rather than film commentary, the information that was presented was extremely in-depth that an average movie-goer may not have known. Much of what was said could be more relevant to another one of Michael Crichton's novels, "Next," in which there is much more on the subject of gene patents and genetic manipulation.
Overall, I would recommend this for someone wishing to get a lot more information than was actually presented in the movie but not for someone wishing for a side-by-side bit of entertainment to accompany Jurassic Park.
For those interested, the commentary can be purchased via iTunes.
Possible Jurassic Park Expansion for IOA Coming Our Way?
Date: Tuesday, January 22, 2013 - 18:32 (Eastern) Author:_Veritas_
Special thanks for forum member Mulder for bringing this to our attention. According to OrlandUnited Universal may be expanding upon the Jurassic Park section in Islands of Adventure. The reported expansion includes several new rides, the River Adventure being amped up with new effects and more, and dinosaurs being added to Camp Jurassic. Sadly it appears that the Triceratops Discovery Trail will be torn down, which is something Uni has been talking about doing for many years in order to put up new rides. You can read more about this in the link. The park expansions are said to be open to the public beginning in the summer of 2014, probably coinciding with the release of Jurassic Park IV.
