Version Numbers Exist in the Film Universe ? Stop Whining
I hate to say this, but when people are looking at the aspect of the changes between the Velociraptors and Pteranodons between the films they want to state they “evolved” because of an advertisement in the trailer mentioning evolution. Further, … Continue reading →

New Finds in Mexico
Date: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 - 21:06 PM (Eastern Time)
Mongabay.com reports today on some spectacular finds in western Mexico, shedding light on the animals that lived in the Americas at the end of the Cretaceous, a time period that still has many gaps and questions for archaeologists.
So far, the only new species named is a new duck-billed hadrosaur, Velafrons coahuilensis named "Velafrons" for the sail like crest on its head, and coahuilensis for the place it was discovered.
The species is believed to have grown between 30 and 35 feet in length and lived on a peninsula that geologists think was periodically slammed by monstrous storms, which could explain the level of preservation in this specimen and several others discovered in the vicinity.
Along with this new species were discovered a large Tyrannosaurus, a ceratops, a small velociraptor and another type of hadrosaur.
We will keep you up to date on any further new classifications if they arise.
A Return To ‘Jurassic Park’ Wouldn’t Be Dino-Mite Says Star
Date: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 - 15:48 PM (Eastern Time)
Yeah.. just thought it would be best to keep some updates on the "possible" forthcoming Jurassic Park film, JP4. Heres some news from MTW Movies from last month.
They managed to get a few words from Alessandro Nivola who played Billy Brennan.
As was reported at the beginning of the year.. Sideshow Collectibles have secured rights to use the Jurassic Park license to create a series of high quality and prized statutettes based on dinosaurs from the Jurassic Park films (I assume the original '93 film is their main basis) This is a great and exciting product launch to really get the year of JP's 15th Anniversary off to a good start. Read their official press release.
The first release of the line is called "'When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth' - T-Rex VS Velociraptors" It's a diorama based on the epic battle at the closure of Jurassic Park where the tyrannosaur takes on the velociraptors giving the human survivors a chance to escape. Sideshow has a Exclusive edition only available on their website with the When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth banner.
Pre-order the Exclusive Edition from the Sideshow website here
Or alternatively, pre-order the standard edition here

JP: Revelations Issue #2 is now online

Are you familiar with Mystery Science Theater 3000? The classic series where a man and two robots speak through old science fiction films with their own unique commentary and hilarious opinions on the events happening on screen?
Well.. Jurassic Park has been rifftraxed by those comedians at RiffTrax. Yes. Jurassic Park with an "hilarious" commentary.
JPL hasn't heard the RiffTrax yet But Im sure it's an "hoot" (Ok.. Dilophosaurus pun aside)
Even more marvellous about this is that.. "Weird Al" Yankovi c contributes to this rifftrax. Yes, the man who himself sang about being eaten by dinosaurs at Jurassic Park joins in the fun!
