Piracy and You.
So something that seems to be a big problem lately on the board. Has been Piracy of the Jurassic Park Films. I just want to mention it here and let everyone know that Piracy is a bannable offense. We will not stand for it and we will not allow it to happen here on the board. If we do see it. We will snuff it out fast. Any and all members involved with it will be banned. We can not have it on the board, it makes the site look bad and not to mention it is a criminal offense to Download and Share any film from Universal. So please if you do see any threads or posts about piracy. Please report them so we can wipe it off the board.

It's really a dumb move to be posting it in public where everybody can see it from Universal on down to us. If Universal got ahold of you then your life would be otherwise over. They'd protect their intellectual property. I wouldn't recommend posting it anywhere where public eyes can view it. If you do, it also falls back bad on the site as well and makes us culpable for the existence of it.

I consider it important to specify that asking for an illegal copy of the films and their features or such materials from other intellectual properties falls under the piracy rule as well as actually posting them. When you post on this board, we assume you are within the law until proven otherwise. Trying to obtain a pirate copy of something from another member is, in fact, punishable. That said, it is important that everyone understands how the law works in this area along with the rule here before posting by mistake. We've already had a few people do this without really understanding the consequences, and I don't want to see anyone else get caught up in it. |

Besides what ACR just said, there are plenty legal ways of obtaining a copy of Jurassic Park. They include going to the store and picking one up, going to amazon or ebay, or if your strapped for cash why not try a pawn shop, or used DVD store.. A place like disc replay for Chicagoans have plenty of copies. You could also check places like goodwill or salvation army for a 75 cent VHS version. Except for the special features newer versions have, I don't know why anyone would get a pirated copy anyway.
